Earlier this week I wrote about Bon Jovi’s Middletown home hitting the market, joking that it was my state-assigned obligation to do so. Now, with news of a Bruce Springsteen exhibit set to open in September, I have no choice but to oblige those same rules. Even more so, seeing as how I called Freehold “My Hometown” from the time I was 9.
The Monmouth County Historical Association is set to launch a Sept. 29 exhibit titled, “Springsteen: His Hometown,” in Freehold, showing off a collection of over 150 items gathered over the course of his life. The display will run through fall 2020, with tickets starting at $15 (proceeds will benefit the MCHA).
