The thermostat may still say winter, but the real estate market says spring. If you’ve been waiting to buy or sell, or took the winter “off,” then now’s the time to get back on track.
The spring season is the notorious busy time of the year for real estate, especially in the New Jersey and New York markets. New families looking to move before the next school year kick their home search into high gear. Sellers who may have held off listing in the fall or winter are ready to put their home on the market to catch the eye of the hungry buyer.
People always ask me, “Is it a buyers market, or a sellers market?” Right now, it’s too early to tell, but what I can say is “For Sale” signs are popping up on front lawns in higher frequency, and buyers are locking in their mortgage rates. So if I had to give one answer to the current state of the market, I’d say, “balanced.”
If you’re looking to buy or sell this spring, now’s the time to take those steps. Let’s work together to build out a plan that works for you.
